Vistadash event_ events can be pushed into your GA4 property if you request it. However, It would be up to you to configure any events that you wish to track as key events within your property. From the set of Vistadash events available for selection, our suggestion would be for you to configure the following events as key events within your GA4 property:
- event_chat_start: Tracks if the user clicked to open the chat widget
- event_click_to_call: Tracks if the user clicked to call
- event_dr_start: Tracks if the user clicked to open the digital retailing tool
- event_lead_form: Tracks if the user submitted a lead through a website form
- event_text_start: Tracks if the user clicked the text button
- event_finance_start: Tracks if the user clicked to open the finance tool
In order to configure Vistadash events as key events within your GA4 property, please follow the instructions below:
1) Log into analytics.google.com
2) Go to the Admin section
3) Under the Data display tile click on Events
4) Click + Create event
5) Input the name of the key event (for example event_dr_start)
6) Click on the toggle to Mark as key event
7) Under Default key event value section select Don’t set a default key event value
8) Under Counting method section select Once per session
9) Scroll down to the Choose how to create event section and select Create with code
10) Click Create in the top right corner of the screen
11) The key event (in this example event_dr_start) should then appear within the list of events -with a star icon to the left of the event name and with a counting method icon to the right of the event name. If the key event does not appear, please refresh the screen
12) Follow these same instructions for creating each Vistadash key event that applies.
