Vistadash tracks website VDP views by applying filters to the Page path and screen class dimension in Google Analytics 4 reports. Page filters are used to distinguish the views received by VDPs from the views received by other pages within the website.
Page filters will vary according to the website vendor used by the dealer because each website vendor utilizes different URL structures. Also, there are separate filters for New and Used VDPs because most vendors use distinctive URL structures depending on the vehicle condition.
Page filters applied by Vistadash on GA4 data include regular expressions (regex), which are specific patterns used to match text within the VDP URLs. Regex enable the use of special characters (symbols) that allow for more flexible matching and more precise tracking.
New and Used VDP filters for the most common website vendors can be found below. Please note Used VDP Filters also capture Certified VDPs.

Vistadash displays website VDP Views metrics under several dashboards and tabs, both at the Enterprise and Store level. In addition to displaying overall website VDP views, some Vistadash reports display website VDP views by channel, campaign or source/medium (referral).
Disclaimer: Third party vendors may have their own indirect methods for tracking the amount of views they drive to dealer website VDPs (for example by tracking how often users click on dealer website VDP links they place within their third party listings). These numbers may not match with the referral VDP views reported in GA4 because GA4 is tracking the dealer website directly.
